How it works
One photo becomes something you can hold. Here is exactly what happens in between, and what we need from you at each stage.
-
You send us a photo
Message us on Instagram with the photo you'd like made real. It can be one you already have — a phone picture is fine, and it doesn't need to be recent or perfectly sharp.
Tell us anything the photo doesn't show: markings hidden by shadow, the colour of a collar, whether an ear sits differently. Small details are what make a finished piece look like your pet rather than a generic one.
-
We sculpt it in 3D
We build a digital model of the pose in your photo — your posture, your pet's build and markings. This is the stage where likeness is decided, so we show it to you before anything is printed.
You approve the sculpt before you pay. If something isn't right — the tilt of a head, the shape of a tail — tell us and we adjust it.
-
It's printed and painted by hand
Once approved, the model is 3D printed layer by layer. The print comes off the machine in a single colour, so everything you see afterwards is done by hand: fur, fabric, the fold of a sleeve, the shine of an eye.
This is the slowest part and the reason two pieces are never quite identical.
-
It's mounted and sent to you
The finished piece is mounted on a wooden base and packed for transit. We'll share a photo of the completed piece before it ships.
What makes a good photo
You don't need a good camera. You need a photo that shows us enough to work from:
- Both faces visible, or at least the pose you want captured. Backs and profiles work well — the piece doesn't have to be a portrait.
- Even light. Daylight is ideal. Harsh shadow hides the markings we need to paint.
- The whole body, if you can. A cropped photo means we're guessing at legs and tails.
- Send extras. If you have other pictures of your pet from different angles, send those too. They don't have to include you — they help us get the markings right.
Old photos, slightly blurry photos, and photos of a pet who has passed away are all things we can work from. If you're unsure whether a photo will work, send it and ask.
Nothing is charged before you've seen it
The sculpt is shown to you first, and you approve it before paying. If we can't get it to a point you're happy with, you don't pay for it.
How long it takes
Ten days from approved sculpt to delivery, as a general guide. The sculpting stage depends partly on how quickly we hear back from you, and the painting can't be rushed without it showing.
What you get
A hand-painted 3D printed figure of you and your pet, mounted on a wooden base — made once, from your photo, for you.
